Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. - Proverbs 31:10

STORY BEHIND THE SONG: LET GO

In writing thier first album, the girls had a whole four yeas to compile enough songs for a cd. While writing Another Journal Entry, they had a mere ten months. Durring this time Rebecca, Alyssa and Lauren began to feel the wieght and stress of running out of time. Eventually, the girls' parents sent them to a cabin in the mountains for a time to concentrate soley on the music. But even with nowhere to go, and nothing to do but focus on the music, their efforts remained unredeemed. "We all just started complaining..." says Alyssa, "Then our parents came to us and said 'you go around and tell the whole world how much you trust God and [now you're not]'." After this realazation the Barlows first wrote the song 'Let Go,' put the album into God's hands and as Alyssa said, "It all just flowed from there."

This is an unofficial site for fans of Barlowgirl, fans of what they stand for, and most of all for fans of God! Have fun poking around!

BarlowGirl - Three young women from the midwest, who are close to their family, who stand firm in their beliefs, and who are open enough to say they aren't perfect and share their struggles transparently in order to grow. "It's amazing to see what God has done with it (their debut album) and how He has built a ministry out of it," says Lauren. "He's using three normal girls from Elgin, IL, who have nothing to offer apart from Christ. We were all ready to go do our own thing, and He called us and turned us around and said, 'I have something for you to tell the world'"

"We believe that God has one perfect man already chosen for us; therefore we have no need to worry ourselves in searching for him. When the time is right we know God will bring us together. In the meantime we are not hiding in a closet avoiding all males. We are still living our lives, just without the pressure of having to have a boyfriend."
